Coffeyville Emergency Services Facility

WSKF Architects led the architectural-engineering members of a design-build team developing the design for a new joint fire and police facility to serve this community of 10,0000 residents. WSKF’s development of a design for a single facility for both public safety agencies followed an unsuccessful effort by another design team to align the facility design and budget. The Fire Dept. space includes four apparatus bays, administrative offices, training room/EOC with bunk space for 6 and other residential space on the second floor. Also included are a dispatch room for three dispatchers and a shared fitness room. The adjoining Police Department facility includes a sallyport, intake and processing area as well as evidence processing and storage, interview rooms, report writing, locker rooms, conference room and space for administrative functions. The design balances the needs for both departments within the City’s budget.
