Sioux Falls Public Safety Maintenance & Storage Facility

This new nine-bay facility provides functional maintenance and storage space to serve the Sioux Falls Public Safety Training Complex. The facility’s design utilizes a pre-engineered metal building system to maximize space as cost-effectively as possible.

The 15,000-SF facility provides nine bays, training equipment storage and other support spaces. Two drive-through bays are dedicated for light maintenance of apparatus and equipment. The remaining bays provide storage for reserve apparatus and ones used for cadet training. 

The facility includes space for a departmentwide gear wash with two large extractors and gear repair. The gear storage room doubles as a storm shelter space meeting International Code Council 500 hardening standards. Adjacent to the maintenance facility is a flexible outdoor classroom with seating for about 30.
