Theo & Alfred Landon Center on Aging

The Landon Center On Aging, located on the campus of the University of Kansas Medical Center, serves as an incubator for new comprehensive care practices to serve the aging. Primary services include a custom tailored clinic, a wellness center, and a restorative care area for occupational and physical therapy specifically geared toward victims of stroke, Alzheimer’s and other age-related diseases. Support spaces include a community resource center, high-tech classrooms, administrative offices, and telemedicine facilities. Upon the center’s opening, the director commended the design: “Not only does it flow well and accommodate our patients beautifully, the entire building emanates warmth and a feeling of well-being that they cannot get in the vast majority of medical buildings.”
