General John J. Pershing Memorial Hospital

After completing a master plan for the hospital, WSKF Architects created a design for 41,000 square feet of new space and renovation of 20,000 square feet. The project encompassed a new hospital entry area and waiting room, clinic, surgery department, emergency department, physical/occupational/cardiac therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, staff area and healing garden. The WSKF design team worked closely with everyone from the hospital CEO to front-line personnel to understand their goals, how the hospital functioned and how it could be improved in a cost-effective manner. The CEO summarized the project by saying, “It is more beautiful than I had ever imagined….inside and out. You guys did an incredible job!”
