Kearney Amphitheater

The amphitheater, completed in 2007, house the stage, dressing room and storage. The stagehouse includes a fly loft with rigging that allows scenery and lighting to be changed during performances. The location is gently sloping up away from the stage to allow the audience good view lines to the stage. The project includes a storage/workshop building and restroom facilities. The project also included improvements to the access road and parking. Seating capacity is 4,500. The amphitheater hosts a wide variety of events including concerts, movies in the park, fireworks celebrations, Christmas tree lighting ceremonies, children’s events and open-air church services.
