Sweet Life at Shawnee

The design of this first-of-its-kind Alzheimer’s care facility creates an “outside world” environment within the shelter of a residential care facility. The outside world, or “Town Square,” sets the design concept for the 54-bed facility with themed areas that include a Town Hall, Bar & Grill, a Spa, a Boutique, a Salon, a Hardware Store and a Wellness Center. Radiating from The Town Square are three neighborhoods which are designed as a small residence, with each including an entry foyer, a kitchen, living and dining room.
