This facility combines a new satellite fire station with a fully integrated training center and tower. In partnership with Tactical Design, WSKF Architects designed a facility that houses a pumper and rescue unit and serves as a departmentwide training center. The station encompasses a 4,500-SF apparatus bay and 6,000 SF of living and administrative space. A 1,300-SF classroom doubles as a backup communications center. The 4,000-SF no-burn tower provides widely versatile and flexible training space for search and rescue, confined space rescue, repelling, and stair tower/hose advancement – all of which can be smoked up with theatrical smoke. The training space is spread over three floors and the roof.
