Southern Jackson County FPD Fire Station

Leaders selected WSKF Architects to head a team for a new station for the newly formed Southern Jackson County Fire Protection District, which merged two public safety agencies. The station is situated on Wyatt Road and utilizes a pre-engineered metal building system. The station provides bunk space for five, dayroom/dining and kitchen, fitness room, shared showers, gear storage, gear wash, and administrative space. Built by Crossland Construction, the station has two drive through bays with the ability to be expanded to a third. The station materials also provide ample sound control while the building is constructed of prefinished metal, masonry, as well as having a standing seam metal roof for long-term durability.
