Gladstone Amphitheater

A fire set by vandals in the middle of the night July 15, 2002 destroyed the City of Gladstone’s Amphitheater, a popular site in Oak Grove Park. WSKF Architects donated design services to the City of Gladstone for a replacement Amphitheater. The new and larger design provides for a stage that has a fly-loft system for production sets, a larger orchestra pit, and security doors on the storage area. A brick and block veneer, durable siding and landscaping stones complete the façade, making the design fire-resistant and more attractive than the previous structure. The State of Missouri honored the project and the City of Gladstone. The Missouri Community Development Society awarded Gladstone with the 2003 Community Development Project of the Year.
