WSKF Architects is proud to share an important milestone in our firm’s journey—official certification as a Women Business Enterprise (WBE) with the City of Kansas City, along with recognition through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
Since our founding over 57+ years ago, WSKF has been shaped by strong leadership, long-standing client relationships, and a people-first approach to design. Becoming WBE-certified formalizes our commitment to creating opportunities, not only within our firm, but across the communities and partnerships we help build.
Dalyn Novak is the first female President/Principal in WKSF’s history. She has been an integral part of the WSKF team for 20 years and has been with the firm her entire career. Dalyn became an owner and principal in 2019. She is also a national leader in designing public safety facilities such as fire, police, EMS, and dispatch facilities.
Dalyn has extensive experience in other areas, such as government, higher education, senior care, and commercial projects. She enjoys working closely with clients to achieve their vision and project goals. Dalyn is actively involved in various community boards and has held leadership positions in Rotary since 2015.
For us, this isn’t just a box to check. It reflects how the firm has grown and where we’re going next. We’re looking forward to building new relationships, continuing the ones we’ve had for years, and finding more ways to support the communities we work in.
