WSKF Architects recently completed a transformative office renovation for EnterpriseKC (EKC) in Leawood, Kansas, reimagining 15,550 square feet of workspace to align with the company’s innovative and technology-driven brand. The project aimed to modernize a traditionally formal office environment, creating a vibrant, collaborative, and future-ready workplace.

Workspace Reinvented

A central challenge was integrating existing office furniture into the new design without extensive structural changes. WSKF Architects achieved this by precise measurements and detailed drawings of the new space. The result is a dynamic, innovation-driven workspace featuring open-area cubicle workstations, 10 private offices, fully equipped tech-forward conference rooms, versatile huddle spaces, EnterpriseKC’s signature “Innovation Lab,” built to spark creativity and collaboration.

Design that Speaks to the Brand

The Innovation Lab is designed around an existing U-shaped conference table. The lab features a custom felt ceiling element that enhances both visual appeal and acoustic performance, while reflecting EKC’s deep navy brand color. This space embraces EKC’s commitment to innovation and serves as a hub for creative thinking and collaboration.

Throughout the project, our design team worked closely with the client to incorporate existing furniture systems and equipment. Strategic updates to finishes, lighting, and acoustic treatments were key to transforming the space without overhauling its infrastructure.

The renovation was accomplished with minimal structural demolition, emphasizing sustainability and cost-effectiveness. WSKF Architects’ thoughtful design and attention to detail resulted in a high-performing workspace that meets EKC’s current needs and anticipates future growth.
