Children's Mercy Hospital purchased the Broadway Summit building, which had been a traditional 10-story office building. The hospital commissioned WSKF Architects to provide design services for the conversion of several floors for use as clinic space, exam rooms, records, space for doctors and nurses, pharmacy, radiology, labs, training and administrative offices. The project covers a total of about 100,000 square feet. As with other work WSKF has completed for Children's Mercy, the project creates a warm and welcoming environment for youngsters while providing efficient floor layouts and highly functional space to meet today's needs for pediatric medical care. Adding to Broadway Summit's unique design is the art of Don "Scribe" Ross, an in-house artist at Children's Mercy Hospital.
