Mr. Williams has been practicing architecture since 1966 and as principal and chairman has led the firm of Williams Spurgeon Kuhl & Freshnock to a high level of design success and client satisfaction. As principal and chairman he has been responsible for over one billion dollars of construction. His experience has been diversified in the design of educational, commercial, institutional, and industrial projects throughout the United States and in seven foreign countries. His affiliations include the American Institute of Architecture College of Fellows, Missouri Council of American Institute of Architects and Missouri Bankers Association. He is a member of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International and has served as President of the National Council of Architectural Registration, along with involvement in numerous other organizations. |

Mark S. Spurgeon, RA NCARB

Mr. Spurgeon leads WSKF Architects in the design of health care, commercial and educational facilities, and has been in the architectural profession for over 30 years. Mr. Spurgeon’s approach to architecture is “practical” and he has made a particular commitment to tailoring the project to the requirements of the client and the client’s budget. He excels at assisting the client through the planning and programming process. An involved member of the community, Mr. Spurgeon serves as Division Chair for the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce, is a past member of the Community Partners Advisory Board of the North Kansas City School District and is the past president of the North Kansas City Rotary. |

Rick Kuhl, RA MBA

Rick began professional practice in 1980, and since that time has provided services for projects in Nebraska, Indiana, California, New York, Florida, Texas, Arizona, Iowa, Illinois, Alabama, Puerto Rico, Kansas and Missouri. Rick’s particular areas of expertise include Education, Governmental and Senior Housing markets. In addition, Rick has ongoing responsibility for overseeing the firm’s business operations and financial management. Rick’s education and experience provide the components necessary to balance the firm’s operations while maintaining an active role in project development. Rick’s business and professional practice experience provides a significant resource to the clients he serves. In addition to being knowledgeable of construction management project/delivery approach, Rick also has experience in design/build services. |

| John Freshnock, RA, NCARB

John Freshnock has been involved in the architectural profession since 1985 working in Kansas, Maine, Missouri, Virginia, New Mexico and the Caribbean. John’s focus at WSKF is the Hospitality, Planning and Liturgical markets while mentoring design and production work across all market areas. Inspired by the vernacular architecture of the southwest and the rural stone structures of his native Kansas, John produces projects with rigorous detailing and economical use of material and structure. John holds a Bachelor of Architecture (1988) from Kansas State University and a Master of Architecture (1991) from the University of Virginia. |
